Like the Tree Viper, The Matador features an innovative design with a Nylon Core and Polyester Cover. What Kinds Of Lifelines And Rescue Ropes Are Available?

Here at US Rigging, we offer several different variations of our all polyester Vertical Lifeline. These Vertical Lifelines are constructed with 3 strands and can be customized in terms of your needs for length and the types of hooks included. These ropes are available with a hook on one end, hooks on both ends, or with a hook and thimble. The soft Polyester gives the Vertical Lifelines a soft hold.

We also carry Pelican Ropes’ Static Master II Kernmantle Rescue Rope. Like some of Pelican’s signature arborist ropes, the Static Master II is made with a Polyester Cover and Nylon Core. The result of this design is a rescue rope with reduced drag and no torque in the line.

What Are Some Other Factors To Consider When Buying Rope?

In terms of material, the Vertical Lifelines that US Rigging carries are made with all Polyester materials, whereas many of our climbing ropes are made with a Nylon Core and Polyester Cover. The Polyester ropes will have more stretch while the ropes with a Nylon Core will provide other characteristics, like a reduced need for milking the rope during climbs and less snagging in the rope.

What Do You Use A Spliced Eye For?

Spliced eyes are designed to make attaching a rope to a fixed point easier. Ropes with preconstructed eyes are less subject to abrasion and loss in strength from the wear and tear of knotting and hitching. If you are buying one of our ropes from the Arborist or Tree Viper lines, whether you need a rope with a Spliced Eye or no Spliced Eye is one factor to consider.
