Termination Plates

What is a termination plate? A termination plate is an easy-to-use tool used to fasten climbing rope without having to tie a knot. It is a great option when you're unable to have sewn-eyes. Why shouldn't you use a knot? Not only do knots cause wear on your rope, but most climbing knots can diminish the strength of a lifeline by as much as fifty percent. In many cases, reducing the required MBS of a load bearing rope. A termination plate assists with sustaining the rope strength when factory terminations are not an alternative.

Also referred to as an anchor plate, rigging plate or rope anchor.
