US Rigging Sells Braided Rope & General Cordage
Here at US Rigging we offer general cordage 3 strand rope constructed with polypropylene cores and polyester covers. These braided composite ropes are ideal for marine rigging applications. The Rig Master Rope is known for its uses as a lifeline in rigging, as well being an excellent general purpose rope. The double braided polyester rope with a polypropylene core is ideal for industrial marine uses as it absorbs very little water and maintains its strength.
What Is The Rig Master Rope?
The Rig Master is a 3 strand composite rope engineered with a polypropylene core and polyester cover. This unique design allows for abrasion resistance, and energy absorption in a braided rope means that it can float in either saltwater or freshwater. It is available in ½”, ¾”, and ⅝” diameters with a strength ranging from 5,800 lbs to 10,500 lbs. The Rig Master is available in 50 ft, 100 ft, 150 ft, and 200ft hanks for your convenience.

What Are Some Uses For The Rig Master?
The Rig Master is excellent for multiple different applications and as a general-purpose industrial marine rigging rope. It can be used for purposes as diverse as lifting lines to tag lines and utility lines.
Common Applications For The Rig Master Composite Rope:
- Tag Line
- Utility Line
- Safety Line
- Lifting Line
- Rigging Line
- Lifeline In Rigging
What Is Composite Rope?
A composite rope is a line that is made of two or more different types of materials. Some of these combinations may include nylon cores with polyester covers, or in the case of our Rig Master Rope, a Polyester Core and Polypropylene cover. In that particular case, the rope is constructed to take advantage of the strength of Polyester and the increased water resistance of Polypropylene.
What Are The Benefits Of Polypropylene?
Polypropylene (PP) is a strong and sturdy plastic that is particularly well known as a cost-effective material for water rescue ropes. PP rope is heat resistant and stays strong with friction. It is particularly useful since it can float of both saltwater and freshwater and resists chemicals and shrinking.
Benefits Of Using Polypropylene:
- Abrasion Resistant
- Strong, Sturdy Plastic
- Resistant To Mold & Mildew
- Cost-Effective For Water Rescue
- Great For General Purpose Rope
- Floats On Both Saltwater & Freshwater
- Resistant To Chemicals, Shrinking, Heat & Friction
What Are The Benefits Of Using Polyester In Braided Rope?
Polyester is an incredible material that has a similar strength to Nylon but has far less stretch. Polyester resists abrasion and does not lose strength when it is wet, which makes it an excellent choice in composite ropes made for marine applications. It is also extremely lightweight, making it an especially user-friendly material.
Some Benefits Of Using Polyester:
- Abrasion Resistant
- Ideal For Outdoor Uses
- Does Not Lose Strength When Wet
- Similar To Strength To Nylon With Less Stretch
