Pelican Rope offers their exclusive Synthetic Stainless Rope™, providing all the benefits of stainless steel wire rope but with a significantly reduced weight. Crafted from a 12-strand single braid and using our proprietary Honeywell Spectra® fiber enhanced with our own S-12 special coating, this rope is hydrophobic and will not absorb water or corrode. It boasts impressive chemical and abrasion resistance, as well as exceptional flex fatigue. The S-12 Synthetic Stainless Rope is also able to float and maintain strength even in freezing temperatures, with a melting point of 300°F and loss of strength at 150°F. An ideal choice for steel cable replacement, marine and rigging lines, utility and winch lines, and barge and mooring lines.
