What Is A D Ring?

A D Ring is a carabiner which is shaped like a letter D as the name implies. Carabiners are shackles that are similar to climbing hooks and can be used to connect various components of a rigging system. The D-Ring is the most commonly used shape of carabiner in climbing applications, because its asymmetrical shape provides the strongest axis out of all carabiner shapes. Most of our Safety Straps are available with or without a D strings included.

What Materials Are Your Safety Straps Made Of?

All safety straps sold at US Rigging are made with pure Nylon Webbing. Nylon is noted for both its strength and elasticity. This material is especially ideal for shock absorption as its stretch/elasticity can double the stretch of polyester. While nylon is not completely water-resistant, its break strength remains relatively high when it gets wet when compared to many other materials.
