Climbing And Rescue Rope
US Rigging is proud to carry a wide array of Climbing Rope and Lifeline Rope/Safety Rope from our good friends at Pelican Rope. Our selection of Safety Line includes both dynamic and static ropes engineered for tree climbing, tower climbing, search and rescue applications, and rock climbing. These ropes are generally lightweight and constructed with high stretch materials like polyester and nylon.
What Are Some Popular Climbing Ropes?
US Rigging offers some of the best climbing ropes on the market. The Arborist and Tree Viper lines are both particularly well-liked climbing ropes. The Matador and the Ape are very popular bull ropes for rigging. Both The Matador and The Tree Viper are known for their unique designs that feature a Nylon Core and a Polyester Cover. This innovative setup was created by Pelican Ropes to address the specific needs of tree climbers.
The Tree Viper Arborist Climbing Rope
The Tree Viper is the signature tree climbing rope from our partners at Pelican Rope. Like most tree climbing ropes, The Tree Viper features a high stretch Polyester Cover. What sets the Viper apart is its unique Nylon Core. This groundbreaking design eliminates the need for climbers to milk rope while climbing and is perfect for extremely challenging climbs. The Tree Viper is easy to knot and extremely resistant to abrasion.
Some Unique Features Of The Tree Viper Include:
- Reduced Hand Cramping
- Incredibly Supple/Soft Grip
- Created Specifically For Rigorous Tree Climbing
- Excellent Performance In Both DRT & SRT Climbing
- A Nylon Core Which Makes Knots Stronger And Easier To Tie
- Unique Design That Cuts Down On The Need To Milk The Rope While Climbing
The Matador Bull Rope For Arborists
Like the Tree Viper, The Matador features an innovative design with a Nylon Core and Polyester Cover. This gives The Matador increased durability and lifespan that is far longer than other Bull Ropes made by Pelican Rope’s competitors. The Matador’s Urethane Coating increases its resistance to wear from UV Rays and other weather conditions. This revolutionary rope has incredible shock absorption and is easily spliced.
Some Unique Features Of The Matador Bull Rope Include:
- Incredible Shock Absorption
- Increased Resistance To Abrasion
- Stands Up Against UV Rays & Chemical Wear
- Engineered To Make Knotting And Splicing Easy
- An Extraordinarily Shelf Life Enhanced By A Nylon Core
What Kinds Of Lifelines And Rescue Ropes Are Available?
Here at US Rigging, we offer several different variations of our all polyester Vertical Lifeline. These Vertical Lifelines are constructed with 3 strands and can be customized in terms of your needs for length and the types of hooks included. These ropes are available with a hook on one end, hooks on both ends, or with a hook and thimble. The soft Polyester gives the Vertical Lifelines a soft hold.
We also carry Pelican Ropes’ Static Master II Kernmantle Rescue Rope. Like some of Pelican’s signature arborist ropes, the Static Master II is made with a Polyester Cover and Nylon Core. The result of this design is a rescue rope with reduced drag and no torque in the line.
Some Unique Features Of The Static Master II RescureRope Include:
- Reduced Drag
- Torque Free Nylon Core
- Increased Control For Descending
- Increased Efficiency In Ascending
- Smooth, Two Twill Braided Running Cover
What Are Some Other Factors To Consider When Buying Rope?
Whether you are buying a climbing rope, a rescue rope, or a lifeline, there are a few things to consider. In terms of material, the Vertical Lifelines that US Rigging carries are made with all Polyester materials, whereas many of our climbing ropes are made with a Nylon Core and Polyester Cover. The Polyester ropes will have more stretch while the ropes with a Nylon Core will provide other characteristics, like a reduced need for milking the rope during climbs and less snagging in the rope.
What Do You Use A Spliced Eye For?
Spliced eyes are designed to make attaching a rope to a fixed point easier. Ropes with preconstructed eyes are less subject to abrasion and loss in strength from the wear and tear of knotting and hitching. If you are buying one of our ropes from the Arborist or Tree Viper lines, whether you need a rope with a Spliced Eye or no Spliced Eye is one factor to consider.
